Amended timetable in operation until further notice: Remember - only travel if your journey is necessaryThere are major disruptions on the TPE Network. - Click for more information - Last updated: 12:41 AM
The government guidelines on social distancing means there will be space for as little as a tenth of the usual number of passengers on the railway, which for us at TransPennine Express means our capacity is limited to around 15 to 20 people per train carriage, so please only travel if you really have to.
Please check your journey before you travel. A greatly reduced frequency timetable remains in operation across the TransPennine Express network allowing key workers to get to where they need to be. Please consider if your journey is really necessary.
Please buy your ticket before you travel either through our app or on our website. By selecting the e-ticketing option, your tickets will be delivered straight to your mobile app for free, so you will need the TPExpress app to use your tickets
Season tickets for your Smart card are also available to buy online before you travel. Just upload the ticket to your Smart card at a TransPennine Express ticket machine in the station or automatically as you pass through the ticket gates
If you need assistance to make your journey please book before you travel so we can help you on your journey.
Due to the social distancing measures in place please allow extra time to make your journey
Please avoid peak hours and travel during quieter times if you can – usually between 10am and 3pm and after 6pm.
